GTA Mod making New Zealand police touchy

Published at 5:22 PM PST

A modification for GTA: San Andreas has struck outrage in New Zealand where police are investigating whether the modification breached regulations concerning the use of police uniforms and colors.

Unauthorized use of a police uniform is apparently classed as an offense in New Zealand, however the police headquarters have stated they are unsure if this is the same for video games. Thus why the matter is being investigated.

Stacy, the 17 year old modder himself, pictures right, stated this:

"I am not doing this in any way to make money or sell this modification; it was originally for me because I got sick of all this American rubbish and wanted it to be more realistic."

He plans on later adding recognizable New Zealand landmarks to replace the current North American ones, "We could use major landmarks like the Beehive, the Sky Tower or Cathedral Square."

It's unknown what could become of Stacy if the police chose to take the situation further, we will keep you updated on any progress.
