EA Offers Take-Two $2 Billion if They Suicide
WARNING
We are currently in the process of moving servers, due to this some of RockstarWatch may not appear as it should. We have managed to place a partly working version of the website on the new server, that is what you are currently viewing. Before the server move we were working on a huge overhaul and update to the website, for the time being this has been placed on hiatus until we complete our server move and configuration. However, rest assured the new and highly improved version of RockstarWatch is just around the corner!

Kind regards,
Jared & Aj

EA Offers Take-Two $2 Billion if They Suicide

Published February 24th, 2008 at 12:52 PM PST | Posted by Aj Collins | Added to EA Games »

Routers is reporting that EA Games (Yes, the developer and publisher of today's low quality games) has offered to buy Take Two for $2 billion in cold hard cash. This brings the proposal up from the rejected $25-per-share to $26-per-share.  If  Take Two's board accepts, this could very well mean the end to the high quality Rockstar games you are used to. This also goes beyond Rockstar. Take Two also owns 2K Games. The developer and publisher of many hit games such as BioShock and the 2K line of sports games. Will Take Two's board accept this offer? No one knows just yet. We're hoping that the board turns it down...for the sake of the gamers.

Thanks goes to Reuters for reporting this.

UPDATE: Take-Two has rejected the offer.
