L.A. Noire takes up 3 discs worth

Kotaku has revealed today that L.A. Noire on the Xbox 360 takes up three discs worth of space. Jeronimo Barrera, VP of product development, stated that "L.A. Noire was always going to be a massive game, from the size and detail of the world to the length of the cases, and of course, the sheer amount of MotionScan data required for the faces of over 400 actors in-game. To tell the story and make the game we wanted to make, we knew that it was going to take an entire single layer Blu-ray disc and three Xbox discs." Thanks to PlayStation 3's use of Blu-Ray, the entire game will fit on one single Blu-ray disc. However, 360 owners need not to worry about having to switch discs mid-game as thanks to the desks progression system, you won't need to swap discs mid-case and you will only have to swap out the discs twice during the entire course of the game.
