When we were checking out the latest Midnight Club: Los Angeles update earlier this week we noticed the official website lists a large amount of online stores you can purchase the game from. While checking them out, we noticed that Woolworths (a UK electronics store) has the back cover for the game for preview on its website. You can find the back covers below:
The images aren't very big, so if you can't read the overview on the back it says:
The Best Way To See Los Angeles Is At 245mph.
Race at breakneck speeds through the streets of modern-day L.A. recreated in stunning detail. Drive the hottest real-world tuners, muscle and luxury cars, exotics and superbikes on the streets today. Customize your vehicle with the best after-market performance parts and custom kits. Street racing with no track, no load times, no rules: Welcome to the Midnight Club.
Also, accoding to the backcover of the PSP version, the game will feature 1-4 players offline. However, it seems the PSP version will sadly be missing online play.

As we are coming closer to the release of Rockstar's upcoming racer, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, previews and reviews from some of the major gaming websites have been cropping up. We have gathered a couple of nice details about Midnight Club LA from a few of those websites:
Gamespot:
- We played the multiplayer side of Midnight Club for a few hours, and we're pleased to report that it's just as much fun as single-player. The version we played was for the Xbox 360, but Rockstar has told us that the PlayStation 3 version will be identical.
- A gauge at the bottom of the screen shows vital information, including speed, damage, and boost. If you have too many crashes during a race, your vehicle will reset, and though you'll lose some time, you'll get a shiny new ride and a topped-up boost as a consolation prize.
IGN:
- Winding through the University Pass at night in a bulging Challenger muscle car, the lighting brings a nocturnal LA to life, as Midnight Club takes Grand Theft Auto IV's already impressive graphics engine and embellishes it with another level of sheen.
Destructoid:
- A neat mode that can be played on- or offline is the Race Editor. In it, you can drive around L.A., literally placing checkpoints as you go, to create your own high-speed car chase.
Read the full articles on IGN, GameSpot and Destructoid. Only 2 weeks away from the release of the game, don't forget it!

IGN has recently had a chance to sit down and play Midnight Club: Los Angeles for the PSP. We have summed up the article below.
- Few extras that the other versions won't see
- The game controls pretty well and has a consent framerate
- Long loading times are a thing of the past. Loading times have been improved greatly over the PSP version of MC3
- Los Angeles will be big, but not as big as the console versions
- The draw distance is pretty far
- Unlike the console versions, you will be able to drive in Tokyo and unlock new cars there as well
- Just like the console versions, progression will revolve around "reputation points"
- The story line is pretty much the same as the console versions
In addition to the details, IGN has also released 15 new screens of the PSP version.

Motorator.com uploaded a video onto their website earlier this week of a Showcase of several cars from Midnight Club: Los Angeles. It was a short video containing the real-world versions of cars from the game, including the Saleen S302 Extreme, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, and the Audi R8. It also had some footage of the Saleen Sterling Edition, which is not featured in the game but was at the Showcase:
We don't actually know if Rockstar Games hosted this small Showcase, or if it was planned by a third party, as we haven't heard any news on it other then from Motorator.com, which we haven't heard of before now. So take this on face value for the moment, as it may turn out to be fake down the track. Regardless, the cars a very nice, and the in-game versions are just as amazing!

We must apologize for not posting this earlier, however we have been hesitant as to if this was actually true or not. It has been circulating the net for a week now, but without any real evidence on the Pizza Hut website, however now the site has been updated to announce this news we figured it due time to publish a story on it. So here goes...
Rockstar Games and Pizza Hut have teamed up to give away a $100 000 Saleen S302 Extreme Mustang, that is the one of the vehicles to feature in Midnight Club: Los Angeles, and it has become kind of become the symbol of the latest game. Firstly, it was the first car announced to be in the game, and it also appears on the games cover art. Pizza Hut, as you may know from reading our analysis of the second trailer for the game, is a big advertiser in the game. So it comes to no surprise that they would team up with Rockstar to promote the game.
Apart from the grand prize of the Saleen Mustang, you could also win:
- TIS Rims
- Pirelli P Zero Tires
- T-Mobile Sidekicks
- and hundreds of Instant Win Prizes (these prizes are unknown at the moment though)
That is some pretty niffy equipment up for grabs, and the car isn't much to sneeze at either, $100 000 and it's the latest 2008 model apparently pimped out to look exactly like the car featured in the game (with the silver Rockstar Games logo and logos of real-life companies that have purchasable extras in-game like DUB, TIS, etc.)
In order to go into the draw to win the car or any of the extras listed about you must register on the Pizza Hut website. Remember also to read the rules first, as its important to note that the competition is only open to US residents of 18 years or older and there are some terms and conditions and eligibility conditions also.
The competition closes November 10th, so be quick to registered up and best of luck!

Rockstar has just silently released eight new screens of Midnight Club: Los Angeles via the official site.
Official Site: Midnight Club: Los Angeles
The latest video to emerge for Midnight Club: Los Angeles reveals all four of the Special Abilities available during racing in the game. We discovered the video on IGN earlier today, and it appears it was uploaded 'under-the-radar' as this is the first we have seen of it on any website. Not even Rockstar has the video on the official MC: LA website yet, so without further ado, here is it:
The abilities:
Zone: allows for slowing of time for impossible weaving,
Agro: turns your car into a brutal melee weapon,
Roar: sends a shockwave that shoves cars off the road,
EMP: the newest ability, allows you to emit an electromagnetic pulse that temporarily shuts down the engine of all racers around you
