Rockstar has released the trailer for the PSP version of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.
Rockstar has announced via today's Rockstar brodcast that the trailer for the PSP version of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will be releasing tomorrow. While it doesn't mention a specific time, we're betting that it will release at 1 PM EST.

Back in late February and early March a fleet of customized Chinatown Wars vans were touring the America, giving away goodies and hands-on demos of the upcoming DS release of the game. Today, Rockstar announced that they are preparing to do exactly the same for the PSP release of the Chinatown Wars. So far only a few tour stops have been announced, however more are expected soon; the tour stops announced so far include:
- Dew Tour - www.allisports.com/tours/dew-tour
- DUB Show Tour - www.dubshowtour.com
- Miami Beach Conference Center on September 26th in Miami
- National Orange Show Events Center on October 18th in San Bernadino for D-Day L.A. '09.
We'll keep you post on any further tour dates that are announced.
Be sure to watch for a van in your area, if you missed it the first time round, don't miss it the second time!
This past weekend was Labor Day weekend in the states and I was away with family unable to access the internet. We're sorry that we were unable to update you on the latest news however, here are the things we missed.

Rockstar seems to have caught iPhone/iPod Touch fever as they have just announced that along with Beaterator, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will also be making it's way to the iPhone/iPod Touch. Sadly, the version will not be releasing at the same time as the PlayStation Portable port so you'll have to wait until some time in the fall to get it. Here's to hoping that Apple won't reject the game like they have been doing to tons of awesome and useful apps.
Rockstar Games, the world-renowned publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), is pleased to announce that the critically acclaimed Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars from Rockstar Leeds, the winners of the 2009 Develop Award for Best Handheld Game Studio, will be making its way to the iPhone™ and iPod® touch this fall.
"Chinatown Wars is a perfect match for the iPhone and iPod touch," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "We are very excited to bring this incredibly ambitious version of Liberty City, with this level of detail and immersive gameplay on Apple's new gaming platforms."
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is currently available for the Nintendo DS™ and is also coming this fall for the PlayStation®Portable system. The game follows the story of Huang Lee, a young Triad who travels to Liberty City after the mysterious death of his father. Players will navigate their way through the streets as they uncover the truth behind an epic tale of crime and corruption within the Triad crime syndicate, delivering the unprecedented amount of depth that has become a true trademark of the Grand Theft Auto franchise.
Rockstar has just released some screen shots of the PSP version of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars. While the game still features an isometric view, textures, lighting and colors have been substantially improved over it's DS counterpart.

Rockstar has just announced via their Twitter feed that the PSP port of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will be hitting the United States on October 20th. It's unknown at the time what the release date will be for the UK but we'll venture to say that it's a couple of days after the US like usual.

Update: Rockstar has confirmed that the UK release date will be October 23rd.
Take-Two today held a conference call today to give people an update on the financial status of the company. CEO Ben Feder stated that Beaterator will be coming towards the end of this year. Also, in-spite of all the analysts claiming that there will be another big Grand Theft Auto next year, Feder also put those rumors to rest stating that there will not be a multiplatform Grand Theft Auto next year. Something interesting though is that Agent was not mentioned in the line up for next year. So either Agent will not be coming next year or Take-Two doesn't want to get people's hopes up. They also reconfirmed that Chinatown Wars will be coming in Q4 of this year which puts the release date sometime between July 1, 2009 through September 30, 2009.
This morning Take-Two announced that Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will be making it's way to the PSP this fall. The game has been retooled for the PSP featuring upscaled widescreen graphics, enhanced lighting, enhanced animation, and all-new story missions. It's going to be interesting to see how Rockstar Leeds translates the DS version's touchscreen mechanics to the PSP. The PSP version releases this fall on in both UMD and download from PSN formats.
