Take-Two today held a conference call today to give people an update on the financial status of the company. CEO Ben Feder stated that Beaterator will be coming towards the end of this year. Also, in-spite of all the analysts claiming that there will be another big Grand Theft Auto next year, Feder also put those rumors to rest stating that there will not be a multiplatform Grand Theft Auto next year. Something interesting though is that Agent was not mentioned in the line up for next year. So either Agent will not be coming next year or Take-Two doesn't want to get people's hopes up. They also reconfirmed that Chinatown Wars will be coming in Q4 of this year which puts the release date sometime between July 1, 2009 through September 30, 2009.

Take-Two today announced their second quarter 2009 results. Here are some insteresting details from the results.

Red Dead Redemption:
Among the results is the announcement of a delay for Red Dead Redemption into 2010.

Mafia II and Red Dead Redemption are now scheduled for release in the first half of fiscal 2010 to allow additional development time for the titles and to maximize their full potential in terms of the quality of the player experience and market performance.

L.A. Noire:

Take-Two kept reporting in their quarter results that L.A. Norie would be coming in 2009, however, L.A. Noire doesn't make an appearance in the list of games for this year. Could this mean that L.A. Noire has been pushed back again?

Beaterator:

Back in March when Take-Two reported their first quarter results, Beaterator had "to be announced" as it's platforms instead of just PSP. This quarter, Take-Two did the same so it's looking likely that Beaterator will make a jump to an additional platform.

Take-Two has just announced it's results for the first quarter of 2009. Below is the game listing for 2009 (Only Rockstar titles)

Title Platform
Beaterator TBA
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars DS
Grand Theft Auto IV Second Episode Xbox 360
Midnight Club: Los Angeles Downloadable
Content - South Central Premium Upgrade
Xbox 360, PS3
Red Dead Redemption Xbox 360, PS3

As you can see, not much is different from what we already knew, however, take a note at the platforms for Beaterator. It says TBA. Could this mean that Beaterator is coming to more platforms than just the PSP? Rockstar Leeds has said before that they wanted to an Xbox Live Arcade game, could this be it or perhaps is Beaterator also going to make an appearance on the Nintendo DS?....Or could it just be a mess up? We'll keep you posted if we hear anything. Next up is the second episode for Grand Theft Auto IV. The results say the game is coming in FY2009 which ends on October 31st. We're betting that the release will be very close to the FY2009 end date.

You won't be seeing the anticipated L.A. Noire or Beaterator within the next year, at closer look at today's financial report from Take-Two's offices, the two games have slipped the lists and as far as we can tell so far appear to have been moved to a 2009 release date. As you can see on the second table-of-data in the report, nor L.A. Noire or Beaterator are anywhere too be seen. I may be blunt to say I feel the Manhunt 2 banning and modification may have be the cause of some of this, however that is blunt and may/may not be entirely true.
